St. Joseph and St. Mary Cemeteries are located in West Peoria. Resurrection Cemetery is in Peoria. While each cemetery is unique, all grave sites are the same price.
A typical burial purchase would consist of a grave site to hold a casket or cremation urn and an interment fee (opening and closing of the grave site/space).
Spaces could consist of a single Grave Site (holds one casket or 1-3 cremations); a Lawncrypt (a double depth grave site holds two caskets), a Columbarium (outside Niches for cremations), or a Bench (outside and holds 1-3 cremations).
Costs incurred when inurning a cremation could include the purchase of an urn vault. By law, all cremations must be encased in an urn vault (protects cremation container from biodegrading). Some urns are buriable while others are not which then requires an urn vault.
Also, additional interment fees are incurred when a burial takes place after the regular hours of 9 am to 3 pm, Monday through Friday or on a Saturday. There are no burials on Sundays nor certain holidays or holy days.
During the winter, there is a fee for heating the grave site which is necessary for digging as the ground is frozen. A Location Fee is charged when a marker/headstone is purchased from a vendor other than the Catholic Cemetery Association. A Foundation Fee is charged for setting a Veterans Military marker.
Additional purchases could include a marker/headstone, decorative urn vase, bronze emblems for markers/headstones or durable in-ground vases.
Generally, there is no fee to conduct Committal Services in the St. Joseph of Arimathea Chapel located in Resurrection Mausoleum.
